Do People Get Addicted to Killing?

What a morning here in the Ozarks! It was really foggy out – almost spooky – with a slight tinge of frost interspersed on the twigs and what’s left of the leaves with water droplets left over from the drenching rain we got yesterday. Started cooling off about daylight and the temperature flirted with freezing until the sun broke out and burned off the mist. I try and get pictures on mornings like this because icy fog makes for some interesting vistas, but considering the state of our world, this morning’s fog just serves to accentuate the dismal mood.

The old pine tree standing eerily in the glazed sunlight hosted some birds singing what sounded like dirges in the fog. Who knows, creatures other than us humans might understand the upheavals this old world is undergoing.

All in all, I guess us folks in the Ozarks have been fortunate as far as the weather goes, because a lot of places in the world have been getting some extreme weather of late. Eastern Great Lakes, Ontario, New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio are seeing some really crazy early-season snow, Northern California and Lake Tahoe area in Nevada are still digging out from a big blizzard last week. North Carolina and the environs in that part of the country haven’t really begun to recover from the disaster that was Hurricane Helene. Overseas, a nasty cyclone they named Hidaya destroyed northern Madagascar, the poor little island of Mayotte, and blasted into eastern Africa flooding Tanzania and Kenya leaving many casualties, and several places in southeast Asia are being flooded. Spain is recovering from massive flooding on the southeast coast around Valencia, and there are just too many other places suffering from extreme weather to mention here. Besides, even though the elements have been wild, this post isn’t meant to only discuss weather. Weather only kills a fraction of the people killed by other people.

I believe and truly expect that a lot of readers share my belief that the intentional mass slaughters occurring in the world as of this writing are – and have always been – the greatest threat to our existence. It’s really a shame that humanity must claim as part of our species, people who have evolved(?) to some twisted form of imagined godliness in which they believe that it is okay (for them) to kill other human beings, but it is NOT! regardless of the excuses or justifications they try to come up with. Think about it, we have a written history – okay, partially written in some cases, going way back – of human “civilization” having been around for several thousand years, and although you’d think becoming able to coexist with each other would have been a priority through this extensive period of time, it definitely has not; even today we still witness people who inexplicably and continuously behave like savage beasts toward their fellow homo sapiens. Why? It looks like it’s because some groups of people do not believe they are human equals – others are beneath them. While the numbers of folks with this barbaric mindset are relatively minimal within the populations, some of them somehow rise to positions of power and authority, thus become able to perpetrate their venomous evil upon vast numbers of those who are undeserving of it and most people of the world who still possess some degree of moral clarity are aghast to witness it. Furthermore, I believe the creatures that float to the top invariably gain their power through deals with the devil.

I also harbor a belief that some might find crazy, but if you think it through, it might make sense. One of Satan’s biggest weapons is that he is able to cause an insidious phenomenon, at least in the hearts of his most wicked servants whereby they not only murder, but they actually become addicted to it. When men are free from accountability for killing other human beings, many of them will do it without compunction and once they start, they even seem to become dependent on some kind of high that must come with such brutality. Ted Bundy spoke of something like this by describing having a defenseless victim at knife point and thus feeling like “god” as he sensed their fear as he proceeded to murder them.

This abhorrent phenomenon of addiction to killing by creatures who rise to the top gets passed down like some kind of insidious (and contagious) disease – to their underlings. Next thing you know there are whole populations with armies who engage in the sheer evil practice of killing other humans, just for the sake of killing them. The only things that normally keep these people in line are laws and/or the threat of retribution, but for people like Bundy and Jack the Ripper, or Benjamin Netanyahu, laws aren’t even enough to dissuade them. In the grisly conditions that arise when there are no laws against murder, like what’s going on in Gaza, many otherwise normal people will readily engage in it. Have you noticed how they cling to the defense of the genocide going on in Gaza as being a “war”? The very fact that they bother to try and defend it shows they know it’s wrong. They know it’s wrong, but they also know they won’t be held accountable – at least in this life.

Interestingly enough though, there are some who simply refuse to kill others, but they are surprisingly few. Most of them are called Christians, and the faithful ones behave as Jesus Christ instructed them, including such practices as praying for their adversaries. Although the enemy enjoys killing everyone, Christians are of course, Satan’s chief enemies and the bad guys always prefer killing them, but they seem to enjoy killing Arabic Islamists with just as much enthusiasm.

One result of being able to murder without retribution (and the ensuing addiction to killing) is what I suppose could be considered a “withdrawal”, or the behavior they display when they are threatened with becoming unable to kill anymore. It seems that they fly into a complete and inexplicable rage when their authority to murder is so much as challenged. Think about drug addiction denial and how the obvious addict reacts when he/she is confronted about it. Remember when people began to question Obama’s murder by drone program. If I remember correctly, the government was actually threatening to prosecute people for openly discussing on social media platforms whether or not Obama had the legal right to authorize the assassination of citizens of other countries (the conversation even included American citizens) with this covert program. The point here is, they got all twisted up about people questioning their ability to murder, thus exhibited the subsequent rage of which I’m speaking. I think most of this inexplicable outrage was precipitated from one of the chief thrones of Satan (aka CIA HQ) in Langley, Virginia. On a side note, word has it that a lot of Afghan peasants who were murdered by Obama’s drones were guilty of nothing more than just having a cell phone – which made them targetable. Don’t forget the occasion that led to a (way too brief) firestorm when it was made public that the US military defended America by slaughtering those young Afghan boys out gathering firewood.

As to the hissy fit they throw when their murderous behavior challenged, a similar angry reaction is evinced today when protesters or other people discuss whether or not the Zionist military has the right to slaughter those poor Palestinians. They simply come unglued when someone suggests that it is wrong (for them) to kill innocent people. By their rules, no one else is ever allowed to kill – just them – the ones who are doing it. It is also understood (by them) that those being killed have absolutely no right to any defense of their own, i.e. Oct 7, 2023. They get completely enraged when someone suggests they stop killing; it’s one of the craziest, and I believe least understood, aspects of this genocide. Those monsters absolutely believe they have the God-given right to shoot, torture, starve, or perpetrate whatever evil they can contrive (raping prisoners) on the Palestinians (or Lebanese or Syrians, etc.), and anyone who questions that “right” is instantly guilty of the most offensive and extreme heresy – antisemitism – they go off displaying a berserk volcanic rage similar to that evoked by anyone questioning their version of their ancestors’ misfortune during WWII.

When the question of impunity for murder (by Zionists) is breached, those who support this genocide, be it the actors themselves, or the evil entities that lurk in the Rayburn Building or simply anyone on the offending nation supporters’ (AIPAC) payroll – are programmed to attack anyone, regardless of position or nationality, with that inexplicable and guttural viciousness unheard of anywhere this side of hell. They even put this irrational behavior on full display in the United Nations assemblies for the world to see. Simply put, the servants of Satan have an unquenchable desire to end the earthly lives of other human beings and vociferously object when someone insinuates they do not have this right. The victims don’t even have to be their enemies – in one instance, they intentionally shot their own soldiers who had escaped from resistance captors and were unclothed, showing they had no weapons. Indeed, they were even yelling in Hebrew for help, but the murder addicts behind the scopes had already filled their needles and were salivating at the opportunity to relish the coveted fix – one that comes from ending human life – and bedamned if they were friendlies. They constantly bomb areas where they know their own hostages are kept; they practice their despicable Hannibal doctrine, ostensibly to prevent their enemies from having captives with which they might gain negotiating traction (as if that might be a reasonable excuse to murder their own people). When they engage in it, they are simply taking advantage of new opportunities to kill, and again and as always, it doesn’t matter who. This “Hannibal doctrine” was created, I believe, as just another cover for killing people. When someone is at the mercy of murder addicts controlled by Satan, they die – regardless of who they are. The Zionist is allowed under the Talmud to cheat, steal, and kill the Goyim (anyone outside the “tribe”), but killing their own even goes against their own despicable tenets, so anyone can easily see that the act of killing is itself the sole objective of these monsters. They, and the Quisling politicians their bosses have bought and inserted into western governments, spout off about “self-defense”, but this broken record is becoming more and more transparent even for the most deceived of human beings, the average American, even they are beginning to see what is actually happening.

Almost everyone can agree on homicide’s addictive nature when it concerns serial murderers like Ted Bundy or John Wayne Gacy – most are willing to agree those guys were addicted to murder, but when it occurs as a state-sanctioned operation, instead of calling out this addiction for what it is, they rationalize it, never admitting it’s an addiction. Of course, the identity of the (((state))) which is doing it greatly influences the diagnosis, at least in bought-out western governments. Almost any other country’s governments would be met with swift and vicious retribution by the “civilized” world for behaving like this, but not (((this one))). Their government level perpetrators have, over time, become more deceptive, but still use arguments that are as insane as they are. It’s the best Satan can do for now and their rationalizations are of no use to sane, moral people, and this insidious behavior is doomed to suffer retribution one day.

You can count on the fact that the slaughter of innocents will end, and end suddenly – when our Savior comes back. His antagonists didn’t have much respect for a poor itinerant preacher back in the day, but when He returns this time, there are some murderers who are going to be astonished and terrified to see Him as the Son of the Almighty God in His magnificent and awe-inspiring glory.

Don’t buy into the lies they use to try and justify what they’re doing. It’s simply murder for the sake of murdering – there’s no self-defense involved – unless you consider a massive number of bullets into the body of a five-year-old girl (and thousands of other infants and young children) to be self-defense. Don’t marvel either, when you hear of the inexplicable numbers of suicides of IOF soldiers – though most of them are undoubtedly possessed by demons, the murderers themselves are human, originally created in the image of God, thus having a human psyche that is not programmed for what they are doing, and their malfeasance becomes too much of a burden on (whatever vestiges left of) their consciences. On the other hand, their kinsmen, the civilian Zionists not only condone it, but they also want it over (as in all Palestinians dead) so they can start moving into those beach-front Gaza condos (surely funded by Americans) that they expect will spring up. It would be a tempting thought that the ghosts of all those thousands of innocent women and children might forever haunt the place and render it uninhabitable, but no – the spirits of those little ones are in the care of Jesus now – no more sorrow or fear for them. And woe unto those who did them harm, for the Lord has a special place in His heart for the little ones: [Luke 18:6] But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Regardless of multiple standing ovations by the execrable AIPAC-selected and purchased serpentine US senators and congress monsters, what is happening to the Palestinians is WRONG. When I think of that assembly, I imagine a session of demons in a huge convocation in some great hall of steam in the darkest recesses of hell with fire and brimstone smoldering all around them. They jeer and cheer insanely and mindlessly applaud as one of the chief demons of Satan delivers a concoction of the damnest lies any sane person could imagine. All intelligence and reason are abandoned as they gorge themselves on his feast of malevolent and deceitful intrigues, even though they know everything he says to them is a lie, they nevertheless consume his bile ravenously. Ironically, all of the cheering they shower upon him is a lie too. In reality, they hate him as much as they hate each other. They even hate themselves, and truth be known, I’d wager their own families hate them too. It’s what happens when you join forces with the devil – hate is all you have to offer (see any recent footage of Lindsay Graham or Tom Cotton) and all you receive. The men and women doing the cheering are overwhelmingly possessed by demons of unspeakable evil as they treasonously display their disregard for the people of the country they are tasked to represent and instead pay homage to Satan’s messenger who has altogether different interests in mind. As mentioned, they will all face the ultimate Judge one day, they and especially their esteemed speaker at that demonic session, and from what I can ascertain from the Bible, their judgement and the damnation they receive won’t be pretty.

Those of us who believe there’s a better life awaiting must hang on to Jesus – He’s all we have, but then, He’s all we need. Pray for justice and relief for those being persecuted by Satan’s minions. Know that at some point, we (believers in Jesus) will all be assailed in our turn by this same abhorrent evil, but during the worst of it, the Lord will get involved and He will show them the same mercy they show the Gazans. When it comes our turn, we need not expect they should show mercy to us, neither should we fear anything they threaten, this earthly body we have is after all, temporary. Once they take it, we will step through the ultimate door into an unimaginably joyful existence and our tormentors, the servants of Satan will be stuck with nothing but their hatred and fear and our moldering old (undoubtedly mutilated) carcasses with which to enter into the well-deserved and merciless damnation they will face.

After that, things will get better for our part. Take heart, the souls of all the martyred children are also safe now in Jesus’ keep, and with the blessings of Jesus Christ, parents will be reunited with them one day soon. We shall join them all in that glorious reunion. Most importantly, though, we will be eternally united with our blessed Savior who loves us, His children with an unfathomable love. He’s the star attraction on that Day. It’ll be so awesome we won’t even remember the torment we had to endure.

May the blessings of Jesus Christ find and keep you. Make the most of the Christmas Season, try your best to find a smile somewhere to share, and remember Him on these days we celebrate as His birthday season. Pray that He will soon intervene.

This is a reminder, not a grave – the living are not buried.

Now that the fog has burned off on this unusually warm December day, I’m going back outside and talk with Him – and meditate on a better tomorrow.

Addendum: I just watched a You Tube video wherein Senator Jeff Merkley laid into his colleagues for supporting the murder going on in Gaza. Must be a lonely feeling to have a conscience in that dark place, so kudos to him and to Oregon. South Carolina voters should see it to understand how a real American senator should act. It’s worth watching if you need to see what the US is doing to assist the genocide.

Security Breach – Another Serpentine Intrigue?

Folks I think we’re being had – again. Maybe we need to take a closer look at the “intelligence” leak that supposedly gave everyone a heads-up as to what the IOF was planning to do vis a vis Iran in the much-anticipated revenge attack for the Iranian missile strike.

When you see something, some big event get this much press, alarm bells should be going off nonstop. Think about it. If something like this actually happened, the governments involved would in reality be working frantically to get it covered up ASAP. Can’t embarrass the spook agencies, or at least they wouldn’t if it was a real event.

Every time something like this happens that gets continuous press, you can almost guarantee it is something that has been planted. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is going off the rails about this “leak” and it’s happening on purpose. Even all the alternative media sites are even caught up in it – as is supposed to be happening. For some reason, the governments of US and the occupying regime need the world, most likely Iran in particular, to believe that someone went to the trouble to release a target list so maybe Iran would go to great pains to try and protect the items mentioned. Would that possibly be to take their attention off other targets, which would of course be the actual intended targets?

I personally have no faith whatsoever in the competence of western spook organizations to be successful at anything they try to do except for coming up with more and more devious ways to kill people – oh, and lie – but they generally tend to be able to keep secrets. It’s a big part of their compacts with Satan. I don’t believe that some lady who works for the spooks would have access or the ability (or motive?) to expose some idiotic hit list – which if you think about it, would be something with which all parties involved would already be intimately familiar – any more than I could believe a party of Ukrainians on a sailboat would be able to blow up underwater pipelines, but stories like this are the kind of products our “intelligence” communities thrive on. And they only succeed in selling this kind of garbage because we citizens can be propagandized into buying it.

Get your heads out of the sand and think it through. There is absolutely zero doubt that Iran would not already know which of their assets are in danger of attack. Why then, would some pathetic intelligence document that enumerates them be of such preeminent importance? Why are they twisting themselves into pretzels trying to sell this “breach” of security when we all know they would be sweating blood trying to cover something like this up if it were real.

I might be wrong, but I really don’t think I am. We’ve all seen other iterations of this same propaganda technique enough that we should at least be open to questioning it. Somewhere, sometime down the road, and probably in the not-too-distant future, the truth of this matter will emerge. Probably after it’s intended purpose has been accomplished, some new shiny object will pop out of Karl Rove’s magic hat, and we will instantly forget this all-consuming issue of all-consuming importance. Of course, the lady who will be prosecuted will be in jail, but that’s just one of the many prices people have to pay for not being morally selective in their associations.

“We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors… and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.” – the inestimable Karl Rove

Buy into this if you will, but it would take a lot more than CIA-originated headlines to get this old hillbilly on board. I’ve seen this act too many times, and by now you should have, too. The only thing secretive government organizations like the CIA know how to do well is to lie – never forget this, they can devise lies in many ways. They can spend days, weeks, month, and years developing a lie, or they can lie on the spot, just watch Miller, Kirby, Sullivan, et. al. in any press conference.

John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Watch out for them and what they try to sell you.

May God bless all in Spirit and Truth.

Are There Benefits to Being Turned Down?

Image result for free pics of thumbs down in ancient rome

Rejection. Wow – what a desolate feeling! It’s probably the most damaging blow to human pride of all the many depredations we can experience. Rejection affects different people in different ways, some people deal with rejection by doubling down, working harder, and sometimes this is the correct response, others simply cannot endure it and turn to drugs or booze, and some even take the permanent way out, but most of us learn somehow to cope and thus become able to endure the damage to our psyches. It can have a marked influence on our lives though.

There are examples before us to learn how people have dealt with rejection, such as when a young Adolph Hitler was turned down by the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He was an aspiring young artist and had submitted some of his work for consideration, but the acceptance committee didn’t think he had what it took. Needless to say, he didn’t take it so well, but what if? What if he had been accepted – he was a pretty good artist, and who knows how good he might have turned out to be? Could you imagine walking into an art exhibit with expensive Hitlers for auction? How the history books would be different today! But he was rejected, and that very rejection could have well been the seed of all the death and destruction of WWII.

Consider that beautiful girl back in high school that you would have treated like a princess if only she would have responded to your advances. What a bummer to see her hooked up with some nerd from the debating team who obviously could have never given her half the affection you were prepared to lavish upon her. The fact that they eventually married and had half a dozen kids and stayed together for scores of years notwithstanding, she would have been much better off with you – right?

Rejection takes many forms and none of them are in any way desirable, at least for the time being, but sometimes if we look at things from a different viewpoint, we might see that we’re better off for the way things turned out, even if we had to spend some time buffing out the dings to our pride to get over it. Think about famous people. There’s that human envy in which we often find ourselves immersed that says we’d like to be able to sing like Elvis before adulating mobs in great auditoriums, and it does seem like it’d be quite the trip, but maybe God gave us the voice we have precisely so that we wouldn’t ever get rich or famous because He had other plans for us. Maybe the less than perfect eyesight that prevented us from becoming a fighter pilot was bestowed on us so that we’d never have to give an account of ourselves for mass-murdering innocent people during some “war”.

When I walk out in the woods in the fall and immerse myself in the breathtaking beauty of autumn – an exercise in which I delight more than anything else – I sometimes wonder where else I might have ended up if I had been “successful” in some of my early endeavors. If I had become a famous artist, would I be somewhere I could walk in the woods and enjoy nature like I do now, or would I be ever on the run from unwanted people, ducking for cover when the mobs of newspaper reporters and paparazzi photographers found out where I was, all the more so if I was in some personal setting? I guess most of those folks who have to live like that either enjoy the attention, or at least have learned to tolerate it, but for me, I couldn’t imagine an unhappier lifestyle, never mind the wealth.

I believe that success also comes in many forms or iterations, and most of us don’t have a clue what “success” actually is. We hear the word used a lot when people discuss a person’s financial status, but we only accept it as such because that’s what we’ve been trained to think. When you get to the truth of the matter, success has to be whatever makes a person happy – be it those things which can be experienced or owned in this life, or be it the satisfaction we experience in the knowledge that we are prepared to enter into the next life fully enlightened and that the Lord will approve our conduct in this one. That satisfaction only comes as a result of determining to seek God and live according to His judgements and that of course, will entail an endless stream of “rejections” – both of us and by us.

We will be rejected by the world because our interests are different than those taught by the world – different because there is a Spirit who guides us that does not guide those who reject Jesus Christ. We are rejected by our fellow humans when we write posts they don’t want to read – too much going on for them to bother with learning about Him who created them. We are constantly rejected, as mentioned earlier by those who could inject wealth into our lives, ends up for our own good, although that’s not why they reject us. Those kinds of rejections are normally the result of financial considerations.

There was a funny song by a musician/comic named Jerry Reed about a guy who was a talent scout who rejected this aspiring musician who called himself the Tupelo Mississippi Flash (a reference to Elvis) and the musician went on to become famous and the scout got canned for rejecting him. Sometimes the person doing the rejecting might be making a mistake, but that’s beside the point. The financial consideration was the reason for the rejection, and only through hindsight he learned of his mistake. If the person who suffers whatever rejection for whatever reason were stop feeling sorry for himself long enough to apply hindsight similarly, he might understand how his rejection served to benefit him. Look at all of the folks who became famous in their pursuits living decadent and immoral lifestyles or that came to tragic endings.

Perhaps the most well-known rejection of a human being was that of Jesus Christ. His rejection served to benefit humankind, but it must have been a desperately humiliating experience for Him. How painful it must have been to look out at the people He had been teaching, loving, and healing as they now chanted for Pilate to release Barabbas, a criminal, rather than Himself as they scorned, spat, and beat upon Him. He knew and understood that what He was doing was something that had to be done to save the world, but still the despondence must have been immense. Can you imagine how painful it would be to endure having big nails driven into your hands and feet, watching through tears and blood in His eyes as His “friends” turned away? He died an extraordinarily painful death, hanging on that big, magnificent cross – an incredible act of selflessness during which His concern was not for Himself, but for the souls of the men who were doing this to Him. As His precious life ebbed, He pleaded with God, HIs Father for forgiveness for those men. How is that for responding to rejection?

Now I don’t know about you, my friends, but in my book, Jesus Christ has suffered enough rejection. That horrible day on the cross was enough for all eternity, and no one in their right mind should ever choose to reject Him anymore. From today until the end, however, there are people who still opt to try and live without Him, to their eternal shame and damnation. There is still time, though no one knows how much, to get things right with Jesus; do it, whatever it takes, just get on your knees and let Him know you are sorry for the life you have lived and are willing to hand Him the keys to your life. He knows where you need to go and will gladly take you there.

When and if you decide to accept His generous offer of eternal life, you can expect rejection from the world, but that’s okay – that’s Satan’s doing and it’s worth all the rejection the world can throw at you to know Jesus has your back and that you will ultimately be with Him in paradise for all of eternity. You will also be doing some rejection of your own – you can reject a world in which innocent people continue to be murdered, you can reject immoral lifestyles and those who relish hatred and malevolence. You can reject those who continue to reject our Lord Jesus – you are in no way obligated to conform to their ways. Once you make up your mind to join Christ, you become free with a freedom that the human mind can scarcely imagine!

I don’t think there are many who would argue that time is growing short for us. The world as we know it will never be the same as it was yesterday, last week, last year. This chaos is the new normal. There is still some time though. Time to give a hungry person something to eat. Time to help a child by donating to a reputable charity. Time to walk in the woods, enjoy the colors of fall, and thank Jesus for all He has done for us. If you are not already in touch with Him, I cannot stress enough how important it is for you to find Him – He’s not that far away, right at the very door of your heart. Call on Him before it is too late. No more rejection.

May the blessings of God find and keep us.

Certainty Of Death, Taxes and the Hereafter

While strolling through the late-summer countryside yesterday, as I looked over the lustrous patches of early goldenrods, several thoughts simultaneously bombarded my aging senses, not the least of which were things us folks alive regard as certainties. Some of them are indeed certainties, but many we regard as being so may not actually be. As interesting as it would be to hop a ride on that train of thought, maybe for the sake of brevity it’d be better to stay with those we know to be things that will happen. For instance, we have every reason to believe the sun will set this evening, and every other evening for that matter, and as this autumn weather coalesces around the foliage in this holler, we’re going to see some beautiful colors. As most of the readers of this site already know, autumn is an event which stirs the affinity for this aging soul’s eternal attempts to describe nature’s botanical metamorphosis with my own version of insane prose, which as you know will also be forthcoming, although I wouldn’t categorize that obsession with subjects of the degree of certainty to which this post attempts to allude.

As surely as we know the deciduous hardwoods will turn into immaculate subjects of magnificent beauty, some of us also know that an event of even more grandeur, of indescribable splendor will soon grace our senses with an experience we’ve been blessed to KNOW shall transpire. That event will be the glorious return of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We can know this will happen because He has bestowed on us the faith to believe He’s coming back. When folks decide to believe in Him, the process of growing into that very faith begins – and will until we meet Him.

Before I started this post, I prayed that our Marvelous Creator would afford me with words, with thoughts that could accomplish two purposes. The first would be to encourage the brothers and sisters who might, as a result of the horrible, depressing events happening in the world, find themselves becoming discouraged in their own faith, seeing the rampant and overt injustice being perpetrated upon innocent folks, and just generally experiencing the hopelessness with which the stranger visits our souls. To those of you who find your hopes flagging, remember what He told us about having patience. [Rev 14:12] Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. and [2 Thessalonians 3:5] “Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.” Patience is therefore important for believers – those who choose to keep the commandments, and as hard as it is to practice, we must remain patient, otherwise we leave open another door to the machinations of Satan.

The second purpose of this post is to speak a truth to nonbelievers, to encourage those who do not know Christ to look into that thing which we believers KNOW to be a certainty. The thing of which I speak is the return of Jesus Christ to gather His children and to take up His sceptre, that symbol of Kingship and justice which we anxiously await. To you I say He was here in human form performing miracles unheard of, both in His day as they would also be in ours today – that history of all the things He accomplished during His appearance alone should be sufficient to pique the curiosity of the staunchest agnostic, and give people cause to look into His teachings. Another aspect of His life’s experience is His unassailable wisdom – the human race could probably continue indefinitely just by practicing the humanity, the love and generosity He taught, as opposed to continuing as we are to the cataclysmic ending we can all see coming.

We plainly see the evil that has overtaken the world – we know it’s evil because one of the few decent human traits we all possess is that conscience that allows us to differentiate between good and evil. While it’s true that we as humans are by nature far short of attributes that separate us from spiritual virtuosity, if we but open our eyes we can still understand that human evil, greed, immorality, ad infinitum, are direct causes for our impending demise. Therefore, we should, simply as a matter of the continuity of our species, be able to comprehend the source(s) of our destruction and avoid those behaviors. But it goes deeper than that – without Jesus Christ in our lives we are forever bound to repeat those accursed things. They are the essence of human behavior – behavior that identifies that which we must strive to overcome, which is impossible without His guidance.

There are things we fear will happen that may or may not come to pass, things like the nuclear holocaust most of us fear that could indeed happen if we stay on this trajectory. Just plain conventional war on the other hand, may be one of the practices we humans can’t avoid, although I hesitate to say it has to be a certainty. This site has proposed before, and I see no reason to change that belief, that Satan is at the pinnacle of his power when there is war in our world. War breeds all kinds of sinful behavior – hatred, greed, immorality, and others. We often hear justifications for war – resources, and other forms of wealth, territorial disputes, etc., but these are incorrect – these excuses are among the many lies birthed to accommodate war. Such justifications get the means and ends of war swapped. The reason for war is war. Satan doesn’t need resources – he needs people to be killing each other. When you understand that people always lie to justify throwing a war, you see what the Lord was talking about because Satan was a liar and a murderer from the beginning. Jesus had some choice words for such followers, [John 8:44] “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

War itself may not necessarily be one of the inevitable things this post is about, although in reality because of our human fallibility, it sure seems to be. We hear the old saw about death and taxes and for all practical purposes they may be correct, but one thing is for sure – Jesus is coming back for us. He said He would.

[Revelation 14:14-16] Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” 16 So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

Some of us are trying hard to stay on the leading edge of that sickle, making sure everyone knows they have an invitation to the Kingdom. To those who see themselves there, keep up the good work. To those who hear the invitation, don’t let it pass. RSVP now! Get to know Jesus, you’ll forever be glad you did.

A Hopeful Climate of Peace to Come

We got some much-needed rain here in the holler yesterday and last night. Heavy storms around midnight and thunder kept going till the early morning hours. Maybe saying “much needed” is an exaggeration because we’ve actually had a nice, lush spring and summer and we’ve only been low on rain for a few weeks. This old farmhouse needs some work too, because the mud room is starting to flood when we get that kind of downpour, but our situation is not nearly as bad as some places in the world that are getting devastating floods.

Flooding in Africa

The weather is changing everywhere, and it seems like wherever you look, someone has a perfectly reasonable explanation for it. There is undoubtedly some kind of climate change(s) going on, but whenever someone’s theory as to why it’s happening gets into politics, the theory becomes suspect – at least to me. For instance, there’s a sizeable movement that wants to declare war on fossil fuels because they see the increase in CO2 as coming from mankind burning too much of it. Then among the most ardent opposition to that turns out to be folks from the oil and coal producing entities. I’m not going to get into that fight, because I don’t know the particulars, and from so much suspect motivation for their positions, it’s hard to believe that anybody else does either.

The most compelling argument concerning fossil fuels is that they are responsible for way too much death and destruction from peoples and nations fighting over them. Most of the wars and hatred stirred up for the last several decades have been because of the wealth that stands to be obtained over the control of oil and natural gas, so when you take into account the ginormous pollution that occurs as a result of wars, then the dots could reasonably be connected from the burning of fossil fuels to the harm done to the climate.

Is this what the Amazon will look like in a few years?

If someone from one of the excessively wise think tanks were to stand up and say, “Hey, you know what? If we shut down all the wars going on, we wouldn’t need to burn so much fuel for our tanks, jet planes, oil burning ships, and other military vehicles.” Maybe that kind of thinking could lead to, “Since we don’t need as much oil for wars, maybe humanity could stop throwing wars over oil.” Maybe then the oil used for killing each other could be reserved for agricultural equipment and nations blessed with good soil could set to trying to feed hungry people.

With those notions in mind, it might make more sense where the book of Revelation mentions as the seals are being opened where the voice in heaven says, [Revelation 6:6] And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” Maybe that verse is talking about crude oil, I’m not sure, and it’s hard to understand how we can harm oil; maybe sinking tankers full of it. Maybe it is warning conquering armies to try and save oil fields and wine stocks when they capture enemy possessions as they enjoy their wars. At any rate, the two items mentioned, food and oil, are among the most fought-over commodities in today’s world.

We know from the scriptures that we will endure wars right up to the end of the world, but wouldn’t it be wonderful if humanity could find it within ourselves to figure out a way to stop killing each other? Of course, we cannot, and a prescient commenter reminded me recently that it’s because we do not struggle against flesh and blood, but other entities: [Ephesians 6:12] For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

If we were left to our own devices and if our struggle for survival was left to us as a species, who knows? Maybe we could figure out a way to exist peacefully, but we are being controlled by monstrous spiritual entities who will not allow us to go in that direction. We have access to Jesus Christ, who is perfectly able to defeat them and lead us in the direction of peace, but for some reason, most folks seem to enjoy lives of sin and debauchery so much that they ignore the One Who is able to save us, both from ourselves and the demons who control some. So, as with many other human defects, we kill each other over the wealth that comes from oil as one of the many lame reasons for our wars.

Jesus said [Matthew 5:9] “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” I don’t know about the reader, but this old man considers being called a son of God to be the highest honor that can be bestowed on a human being, and we should strive to be regarded as such, hence this post espousing and encouraging peace. There are many organizations, people and groups who preach peace and try to make it happen. People with the opportunity to be called children of God.

If a person is a stockholder in any of the multitude of “defense” industries and contractors who are vested in death and destruction, that person is the polar opposite of a peacemaker, and will be in no position to try and justify his financial ties to weapons of death on that Day when he has to give an account of himself before the Almighty God. [Hebrews 10:31] “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God”; and the greatest blessing that could come into that person’s life would be to understand what that fear will be like, now while he has a chance to repent and rectify his pursuits. In this day when the weapons from which you make money are being used to slaughter innocent children before your very eyes, you cannot say you didn’t know of the horrific travesty from which you were getting rich. From what we know about the justice of God, ignoring your future recompense ain’t going to make it go away.

As the sun comes out and the humidity monster begins to prowl in the Ozarks, we are reminded that August is in mid stride and the colorful, brisk world of autumn is still a few weeks out, but any time is a good time to consider where we stand with God. If a person chooses to ignore the events taking place in the world that are obvious and ominous signs of the impending end of things, then it’s all the more urgent they be stirred into seeking Jesus, the only One Who is able to bring them to victory over the evils of the times and bestow upon them an everlasting existence of unimaginable joy. For to those who are willing to believe, victory awaits, climate change or no.

Guard Against the Enemy’s Flanking Maneuver

The flanking maneuver is a time-tested technique on the battlefield. It has been successfully employed in many battles and if properly executed with ample surprise, is very effective in warfare. The surprise and deception of such a maneuver contributes immensely to its effectiveness. When an enemy is focused on an aspect of the battle, especially caught up in a head-on battlefront, he can be susceptible to defeat by surprise from unexpected directions and/or from undefended areas such as the flanks, or ends, of his columns. We can get so caught up in our abhorrence of in-your-face evil, we can get distracted from unexpected tactics, and our tendency to allow our anger to become hate is one that leaves us open to an insidious defeat if we aren’t careful.

The enemy has been around for a long, long time. He is wiser than us, but not wiser than our Master. Those who do not know or care to know the Creator, are destined to be a type of pawn of the enemy, even though they may consider themselves to be good, upright people. The enemy knows well that if people reject Jesus Christ that he already has a certain amount of control over them, it’s just a matter of how much of a toll he wants to exact on them in the meanwhile and creating situations that foment hatred in decent people is just one of the many ways he does battle. As far as Christians are concerned, one of our less defended areas may be our control, or lack thereof, of our anger.

For instance, we all see what’s going on in Gaza, and most of us rightfully are disgusted by the murder of innocent people. Now the kind of people who support the genocide going on over there are already in Satan’s firm control, so that’s a whole nuther issue, but this post addresses folks who are repulsed by it. The problem comes in for us when we allow ourselves to hate these people doing the murder who are so completely under the control of the enemy. That’s his plan – to use his servants to perform evil, but equally as important, to invoke hatred from onlookers, because even though we are totally against what they are doing, we fall into his trap by hating them for it. When that happens, he wins on both sides of the battle, he controls those who commit murder, and when otherwise good people see the gross injustice and unmerciful treatment and allow hatred into their hearts, he has them where he wants them as well. That’s why Jesus admonishes us to love our enemies, to prevent us from falling victim to Satan by allowing hatred into our hearts. This may well be one of the most difficult things to avoid, even for good people.

Satan has complete control of many very wealthy people here in our country, who in turn have gained control of the leadership through bribery and extortion with the riches Satan has entrusted to them. These “elite” servants of Satan are the same ones who own all of our media organizations. They also own Hollywood and have tremendous influence over the content of entertainment, thus are able to influence many who are unaware of the power that entertainment has over their world views. When people see filth and violence, they tend to believe that because so many people are entertained by such, it must be ok. Of course, the wealthy do not see themselves as such, but in the grand scheme, they are no more than simple pawns for Satan to use as he sees fit – and destroy when the time is right. Animosity towards them is growing steadily as more and more citizens come to realize the degree to which they are manipulated and propagandized. For now, suffice it to say, the wealthy elites mentioned here generally support the genocide of the Palestinians, so their influence over our politicians tends to make them support what’s going on as well.

These same wealthy people completely own all but a precious and exemplary few members of our government and its institutions, especially including the military. They decide who gets to run for president, and it’s well known by now that no one can become president of the United States without showing proper fealty to them. There are required demonstrations of obeisance for a presidential candidate in the US nowadays and we’ve seen them. The same fealty demonstrated through various other rituals, is to be expected from legislators and from the benches of this country as well.

It looks as though Satan’s plan is to allow some light to shine on these individuals so that everyone sees who’s behind the evil that is apace in our country and the world. A lot of this has been practiced behind the curtain up to now, but normal citizens, including Christians who let their guard down, are starting to see who’s behind the rampant evil. That in itself is a good thing, but the enemy intends to use that knowledge to our destruction by causing us to hate these people. His wealthy servants? Sure, they don’t give it any thought, but he’ll drop them like a hot potato when it suits his purpose even though they are smug for now in the deception of their master’s loyalty. A perfect example is the French revolution and what happened to the elites of that day. The revolution itself may have been successful, but the devil won out when Louis and Marie were executed, because that resulted from the hatred he fomented and the ensuing sinful violence it caused among the French peasantry.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that as Christians we have to be careful to stay above the fray and not allow ourselves to be sucked into the maelstrom of hatred and violence that is bound to happen as the servants of evil are revealed. When we do that, we unintentionally do the bidding of the evil one and allow him to win a carefully conceived battle he planned out long ago and is once again setting up right now. We can certainly – and have a Christian duty to – disapprove of the evil that is going on, but we have to do it without falling into the trap of allowing hatred into our hearts, because when that happens, he wins both ways. Even though I firmly believe that Heaven will be an expansive place, nevertheless, there won’t be any room for hatred there.

Hate the sin but love the sinner. Pray for them – all of them, the oppressed, but just as importantly, the oppressors. It’s hard to do, but we have to give it our best shot, and with Jesus’ help we can prevail.

May God’s blessings find and keep us all in these trying times.

The Final Day When Paupers Become Kings

Image result for free pics of scepters

Today is Saturday, August 3, in the year of our Lord 2024 and things are shaping up to get really ugly in the Middle East – likely the whole world – as I write this post. The status of the world, though shocking to many, does not come as a surprise to Christians. We’ve long read about world events that are to come upon us in our Bibles. We know about most of the things that will take place because we believe the God-given prophecies of guys like Daniel, Ezekiel, and John, and if you haven’t read up on the things that are predicted, you should so you can get ready – it’s going to be quite the ride!

Image result for free pics of armageddon

When you decide to start checking into the events that are happening and are yet to happen you will undoubtedly encounter the undercurrent of it all which is the ongoing battle between the forces of good and evil – between God the Creator and His enemy Satan. There are way too many aspects of this enigmatic confrontation for any human still in the flesh to be able to comprehend. We cannot begin to enumerate nor understand all of the issues and their effects even though a lot of people, especially the charlatans that try to pass themselves off as preachers, would have you to believe they are able to. Suffice it to say there is an incomprehensible spiritual battle happening and like it or not, all of us – even those on this side of the void – are involved. We have to choose a side, and unfortunately most of humanity has already done so although many do not even realize they have. That’s where studying your Bible comes in.

Ignoring the words and the person of Jesus Christ is the same as opposing Him. Jesus Christ is the only Way we have out of this mess that the servants of evil have made of the world. There are many who claim to know how to confront Satan and his minions, but Jesus said that He is the ONLY way we can succeed, [John 14:6] “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father but through me.” There are many people who try to reach God, but if we believe Jesus is truthful, we must recognize His authority as the Son of God and follow Him to get where we need to go. Once we submit our hope to Him, we begin a journey that will lead us to an unimaginably joyful and indescribable victory. It will be the ultimate victory over the evil that today plagues this world, and in the end all of those servants of evil who seem to be so invincible now will actually be the servants of Jesus’ followers. According to this doctrine, Netanyahu, Dick Cheney, Jacob Rothschild and all of the evil figures who have seemed to be so untouchable, will be bowed at the feet of those who are for now, humble and innocent travelers, those who trust Jesus to bring justice upon all who practice iniquity today, for the servants of Jesus will inherit kingship in the reign of Christ.

Image result for free pics of Christ the King

Imagine the shock and disappointment of those who would control the world today when they discover their whole earthly existences were no more than that of the grass of the field, and when they get to the Great Day of God’s judgement and see their master groveling before the True King. Those who wield the great swords of war, the dark and powerful weaponry that destroys nations, will be struck with fear and awe at the inimitable power of the real King when He appears in His unimaginable glory. In that moment they will realize the futility of their former allegiance to Satan, his wealth, his earthly control. If they had the mind to do so, they could look through those powerful telescopes and see great stars exploding, destroying everything in the millions of miles of space all around – that’s only a sample of the kind of power the Lord has. Their servitude to the evil one will all mean nothing, but those of us who have been faithful to our Lord Jesus will attain kingship and share His inheritance of all things.

Just in case you haven’t noticed the world powers coalescing around the middle east and the open and unabashed slaughter of all those innocent people in Palestine, the warships congregating, and all the other portents of destruction and annihilation gathering like some dark cloud, you might want to open your eyes before it’s too late. It’s going to get really ugly, but when it’s all over, those who will be left standing will be our King Jesus Christ and His followers – and ONLY them. Everything He said would happen has either already happened or is happening now – that should be all the evidence we need to understand the Truth of what He says. Get on the right side of things before it’s too late. The clouds are rapidly closing in…

The Insanity of Warriors and False Prophets

I guess the whole world has to be destroyed.  People don’t seem to care about it anymore, and that’s a shame.  God created something wonderful here, and people only think of it in terms of how they can profit from it – or destroy it.  It looks like Satan’s plan is to completely eradicate everything God made, and by using greedy and immoral people to do his bidding, it looks like he’s getting it done.

I cannot tell whether or not the ongoing demise of things natural are a result of abuse or neglect by mankind, but I suspect it is, at least to some degree; certainly, the shredded forests on the Ukrainian battlefields testify to the extent to which they are able that mankind’s aggressive behavior tends to create havoc for the environment.  It’s a sad thing to see, those big old innocent trees with all their leaves and branches blown off and gnarled, sad boughs looking like some kind of perverted chipping machine ripped through them.  Did you ever wonder how many birds and squirrels die from bomb and artillery blasts?  How about fish and sea creatures when a big underwater explosion happens?  I didn’t think so.  They call it collateral damage, but it’s sad – and totally avoidable, nevertheless.  There are vast swathes of the planet that are polluted with depleted uranium, poisons from defoliants, and radiation.  The burning brush land of Galilee is especially heart-wrenching to me because Jesus Himself lived in that part of the world, and now we watch – and He watches – as the countryside of what was once His earthly home is ravaged by fires of war.  All these losses are unnecessary, but the human beings that are slaughtered by such malign offenses are the saddest of all.

When the hell that is war visits a city, or a nation, everything that transpires until it is over can rightfully be seen as tribute being paid to Satan.  He is at the pinnacle of his power when human beings, once created in the image of God, are killing each other in mass numbers.  The Bible tells us his time here on earth is short, so he creates as much havoc as he possibly can for the short time in which he has control, and I believe war is one of his primary objectives among men.  Of course, his main focus is the destruction of the true Church of Jesus Christ, for when believers come to be without hope, without love, he wins.

For some ridiculously inexplicable reason, there are people, many people, who are able to convince themselves that there is some imaginary limit to the evil that can be perpetrated, but don’t believe that for a second.  For instance, when discussing the possible involvement of the government in the 9/11 debacle, some folks argue that our government wouldn’t do something that malevolent – the event was just too evil.  A lot of these same people seem to recognize that Satan holds the reins of power of our government, so how evil is too evil for them?  Nothing, no sin or evil deed that could be committed or even imagined in all of creation is too evil for Satan.  Whether or not the government was involved in 9/11 will one day be determined, but if it turns out that they were not (which I highly doubt), it won’t be because it was too evil of a deed for them. Once leaders of nations have signed on to serve the devil, nothing is too evil for them.  It is preposterous to believe otherwise.

It’s a horrible sin to kill people, especially innocent people, a sin of which many world leaders are guilty, and one aspect of that, the ramifications of which do not seem to occur to a lot of folks is that when someone throws a war, innocent people always die.  That happens because wars are designed by Satan, and he always goes after the innocent.  In the Nuremburg tribunal at the conclusion of WWII, the concept was established that whenever a country engages in a war of aggression, the leader(s) of that country are guilty of all of the war crimes that are committed in that war, including the deaths of civilians, and to a reasonable person that would seem to be a fair judgement.  If God uses that measure, then there are a lot of past and present leaders – especially in the 20th and 21st century west – who will have much for which to answer.

An extremely important aspect of all of this – at least for believers who profess to be Christians, is the involvement and/or the support of the “church” in the malign activities of some world governments.  I just read a post that expressed how many “Christian Zionists” are at large in this country, and the number is staggering – in the tens, possibly hundreds of millions.  This fact alone proves without question what Jesus said about the gate being wide that leads to destruction.  It also proves that very few of these “Christians” read their Bibles.  These people are the ones who are making the slaughter of innocent people in Gaza possible.  If the mega-churches in the United States were to stop supporting the evil – certainly unChristian – mass-murder of innocent women and children and publicly proclaim that position, it would stop quickly.  You see, the politicians in DC support the Zionist regime because of the vast number of voters who support it (not to mention the vast sums of money that come their way).  A big chunk of those voters are avowed Zionists who haunt the mega-churches, so the occupation regime gets unlimited support – mostly in the form of weapons and money.  In turn, the church leaders get millions of shekels and dollars, so what’s not to like?  Incredibly, these folks seem to actually believe there is even such a thing as a Christian Zionist, or Judeo Christian.  There ain’t.  But then, Judas sold Jesus out too, for 30 pieces of silver which must have been a handsome reward for the greatest treason in human history which, by the adherence of mega-churches to these irresponsible doctrines, is reappearing in spades.

Image result for free pics of ancient silver coins

Folks who have read the Bible understand that there have been times past when people turned away from God and the results were always horrible for them.  In Noah’s day, the world was flooded and only he and his family were saved.  The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were utterly turned to ashes.  The followers of Moses turned away from God and were abandoned by God to die in the wilderness.  We are at another pivotal time in human history in which the vast majority of people have turned away from Him, so what can we expect?  People have become evil, vile, greedy, theft and immorality abound in every form.  There is no love to be found, with the exception of Christian believers who choose the narrow gate to the Kingdom.  What can we expect indeed?

There are passages in the book of Revelation that describe, as well as can be elucidated by a first-century prophet, some awesome things that are about to happen.  They speak of the fearsome wrath of an angry God who hears the prayers of His people seeking deliverance from the evil that permeates this world.  There is no way this writer could begin to describe the horrific fear and dread that will overcome the hearts of all peoples of the earth who have denied the Son of God.  It will be an unimaginable fear that people will feel in their bones, and it will not go away – God will wreak terrible vengeance on all who have shunned and turned away from Him, from His beloved Son who was sacrificed for them.  The heavens will tremble, the earth will shake, horrific fire will come down from the sky, and the much-adored leaders of men, mighty men, generals, celebrities, and all those who have been wealthy in this life – will be trying to find holes in the ground to hide from His face, but that won’t happen.  When all of this happens, the poor, the peacemakers, and all other true followers of Jesus, His sheep, will not be afraid, they will rejoice to see their beloved King and friend – which side of this do you choose to end up on?

Musing on War and Its Victims – Deceased and Living

Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. [Matt 5:9]

This morning, I stepped out with a cup of coffee and strolled through the dew-soaked grass before the sun peeked over the east rim of the holler. It’s cool out there, I think some sort of front came through last night – we could hear rumbles of distant thunder at dusk, and we got a little bit of rain through the night, so maybe that moisture on the grass was more than just dew. We’ll take any rain we can get this time of the year.

You tend to get lost in your thoughts at my age, and especially with all of the things that are happening in the world. I guess most folks don’t spend as much time fretting over the world’s ills as some of us, and that may be a blessing – or it may be a curse, depending on how you look at it, at any rate I think God’s children should be concerned with the moral trajectory of the world.

This summer has been especially lush and green around these parts, at least so far. For that I’m thankful, not far from here in almost any direction, tornadoes have ravaged the country. Some of our not-so-far-away neighbors have endured some nasty floods, but those things are just what has happened nearby. Further around this old ball of dirt, folks are suffering catastrophic heat that is actually killing people. there have been floods and hailstorms, the likes of which I don’t think the world has ever seen, at least in living memory. We have been blessed here in this old holler.

Under vast clouds of smoke and dust in the Ukraine, the Sahel of Africa, and the Middle East, deadly wars and outright massacres, are being conducted, taking innumerable lives – lives cut short by whatever lunacy of the day prevails in those places. As I wade through the cool, wet carpet of summer grass, my heart gets heavy thinking about all of the children in places like Gaza – actually there are no “places like” Gaza – it’s horror of its own, but those little ones, the very epitome of innocence, are being slaughtered and starved in a mausoleum of horror that no person, let alone a toddler, should ever be forced to endure.

Many moons ago before I realized college wasn’t going to be of much value to me, there was a history course I took, and the thing I remember most about it was that the thoughtful professor assigned us to read a book called “Inside the Vicious Heart”. I don’t know if it’s even still in print, but the basic theme was that all people have it in them to inflict unimaginable cruelty on their fellow human beings, and given the right conditions, i. e., making it legal to kill (war works for this), having superiors who encourage brutality, dehumanizing others to the point that one doesn’t regard them as human anymore, all work to remove natural homo sapiens inhibitions and allow that incredibly evil and apathetic trait of humans to surface. Then we get Wounded Knee, Mi Lai, Gaza, Pol Pot, and uncountable other atrocities. People on people violence and slaughter.

There’s something about recognition of this human condition that Satan and his servants in this world do not like to see made public and that’s really odd, but just look at how they twist the atrocities taking place in Palestine to try and make it look like it’s something justified. For crying out loud, look at what they did to Julian Assange for exposing the brutality of the US military. The devil doesn’t like for the evil he imposes on humanity to be exposed. At least not at this point in our history. Wars are always regarded as being over resources or political arguments or land, but the hard and cold fact is wars are conducted because of human susceptibility to the influence of Satan. Wars happen because people can be convinced it’s ok to kill each other, and once they set to it, they do it with vigor.

Image result for army image tank firing

Another facet of this, although a bit aside from the main topic is that cruelty and brutality are conducted of more than one style and measure, for instance, what is happening in the Ukraine is war, but what is happening in Gaza is merciless slaughter of innocent people. Before anyone gets their feathers ruffled, I know the Ukraine action is called a Special Military Operation instead of a war, but that’s just a bunch of legalese, it’s a war and we all know it’s a war, but my point is, in both cases, the guys with the guns have been convinced of the righteousness of their cause. The inhumanity they perceive in their crosshairs then proceeds to let that horrible human condition dictate they set their conscience aside and pull the trigger. And their fellow humans die.

As the birds woke up and started to put nature’s soundtrack into my musings, I consider the after-effects of the inhuman behavior Satan evokes on those young men and women who have temporarily become convinced it’s ok to kill. Especially the ones who murder the innocent little kids on purpose. Do they wake up in the middle of the night to the screams of terrified little toddlers whose blood they have spilled? Is that why, out of the presence of those almighty superiors, their consciences become so heavy that they kill themselves as the only way to stop the echoing screams of the ghosts of those children? There is a phenomenal rate of military and ex-military suicides going on, and from what we hear, the most of them fought in places like Gaza, Iraq, and even Vietnam, where the “enemy”, or at least the enemy they killed, was defenseless. When they allowed Satan to remove the constraints of conscience and intentionally killed little children, women, and old people it must have become unbearable on the human soul to continue life with such a burden on their hearts. It’s the ones who have participated in such behavior and do not kill themselves that society needs to worry about, for they have the capacity to become brutal murderers off the “battlefield”.

I wonder about how the pilots of the aircraft, or the drone operators placate their consciences when they see pictures of the death and destruction of innocents in places like Raqqa and Gaza City. Was the removal of their sword strokes sufficient to assuage their mortal culpability for atrocities like that picture I saw of the little girl in the debris of Raqqa with only her beautiful little head to be seen with a plaited ponytail her mother had undoubtedly spent part of the morning fixing up. An American pilot dropped that bomb. Did he see the picture? If so, was there any remorse at all in his heart, or was he able to absolve his culpability? Was he merely playing some morbid video game, and felt no more guilt than a kid with a game controller in his hand?

Will the men and women who were players on Satan’s team endure the cost of guilt for the rest of their lives for killing innocents? I knew guys who had fought in WWII, and some of them were seriously damaged in their souls. WWII soldiers fought in a war that might have been justifiable, and those old boys carried some heavy baggage till they died. Just think about soldiers, or pilots, or drone operators, who have mercilessly taken part in murdering thousands of innocent children – their participation was voluntary, nobody made them kill. When these people stand before God on judgement Day, if they haven’t repented for their participation in these atrocities, they will pay the ultimate price. Satan recruited them, trained them, convinced them it was okay to kill their fellow human beings, and when he was through with them, discarded them into the dark noisome dumpsters of their guilty hearts. That’s his way.

The horror won’t be over until we come to understand and accept that wars have to be over, and I’m afraid that’s not going to happen. From what I’ve seen and read in the Bible, I think our Lord is getting fed up with what mankind has done to His creation, and we don’t have a lot of time left here, the best thing we can do is to get right with Jesus and when He winds it all up, we’ll be able to live in peace at last.

Then about the time the crows started waking up and complaining, I decided to take my heavy musings inside and write this heavy post.

God Bless Y’all,

Comfort in the Dark Storm

It’s just shy of 4:00 am and I’ve been up since 3:15, and it looks like I won’t be going back to bed. We had a nasty storm come through from the west – it was one of those you’d swear was bringing the end of the world. I have four dogs, all some border collie and Australian shepherd mix, they learn things really fast, and I guess if I’ve taught them anything, it looks like how to be scared of storms has been among their most successful lessons.

I’m hard of hearing, but when they come running in and jump up on my bed in the middle of the night, I always know there’s a storm coming. They can hear thunder a long way out – long before I can. There’s no arguing, I just have to get up and assume my God-given role of their comforter. They know I will, it’s part of my job. It’s all good though, because I love my four-legged family and I enjoy being there for them.

There are other storms raging in our world today, storms that are close enough to us that we all know they are here, and these ones threaten everything we hold dear. In many places, the gale is already savaging them. It’s heartbreaking to hear news of so many innocent people losing their homes, their livelihoods, their families, and their very lives and it always seems to be because of someone’s greed for money and power. Unlike my dogs, these unfortunate folks don’t have a master to whom they can go for comfort – or do they?

Those little bodies wrapped for burial, soaked in innocent blood and the piteous tears of mothers, who themselves are usually injured and bleeding, the heart-wrenching wails of aggrieved family members whose losses can only be understood by the Master and fellow travelers of good heart, are forever recorded within great tomes of human events to be addressed on the terrifying Day of His vengeance. How do they expect to escape, who bring such devastation, such sorrow, upon innocent fellow humans? For the prayers and tears of those mothers have reached into the Heavens, to God’s very ears and He will show mercy to the perpetrators of this evil in proportion to the mercy they showed their victims. It won’t be pretty for them.

As difficult as it is to understand, the innocent who endure these troubled times indeed have a Master to whom they can turn, a Loving Father Who hears their mournful supplications. It’s difficult to comprehend because we can’t see far into the storm, only the part we are in, but He sees all the way to the other side of it. Innocent victims of atrocity are hard-pressed to make any sense of what’s happening, and perhaps there is no sense to be made, but He is there nevertheless for their succor if they but turn to Him. He accepts the departed children into His Heavenly abode, never for them to fear again. They shall see no more sorrow in that place of unimaginable joy. There’s no need to grieve for them, for they are in His arms now. But we must grieve for ourselves, for our loss; it’s human nature. We shall miss them immensely. There are multitudes of good, humane people in the world who grieve with you.

Jesus said that it won’t go down well for anyone who harms the little ones, and that’s putting it mildly. He told His followers to let the children come unto Him, for He loves them profoundly. While it is possible to repent of one’s evil ways and ask forgiveness, the people who perpetrate evil on those little ones and do not repent for it are going to suffer some of the worst of God’s wrath. There are no words to describe the terror that will fill the hearts of those who experience His fury. And that terror, anguish, pain, and sorrow are going to last for all of eternity.

The evil that’s taking place in Gaza is being done right out in the open for all the world to see. It’s a black and white issue, like another evil man said on one of those rare occasions when he stumbled onto the truth not that long ago, “You’re either with us or against us.” At least it’s true for our occasion, there’s no middle ground here, and I firmly believe if you are even willing to look the other way, you’re indicting yourself on this issue. Leaders throughout the west have openly admitted their support for this unfolding tragedy. They have come up with the lamest of justifications so they can sound like they believe what they are doing is right, while their own people in all of their nations hang their heads in shame for having these monsters running their countries. Such is their fealty to their Zionist masters, leaders in the US are ordering a most vicious reaction to the sane and humane college kids who are bringing attention to the Gaza travesty. Everyone in the world, including those leaders sending arms and ammunition, know that what’s going on is wrong – dead wrong. Every lying spokesperson who mouths off some pathetic justification or rationalization can be seen for the evil monsters he/she is. Every cop who slams a peaceful protester to the ground is putting his/her seal of approval on an actual genocide. I really don’t think the people doing the talking realize the world is onto them, otherwise they’d just shut up and stop sounding so embarrassingly ridiculous, awkwardly trying to act as if they actually don’t know they’re speaking perfidiously.

Like all storms, the one that rages in today’s world will pass. No one knows just how bad it’s going to get, but until Jesus returns to take up His scepter and set things right, we know from prophecy there are going to be some dark times. Meanwhile, His light is there for us, to guide us through all calamity if we but trust Him. When we hear the thunder approaching, we ever have a Master to go to for comfort. He’s waiting. And the very least we can do is to pray for those already caught up in the maelstrom.

God Bless,

MK
